At the Nanny Raiha Charitable Trust, we support people in Aotearoa New Zealand living with dementia and their whānau through meaningful, joyful activities that stimulate the mind and uplift the spirit. Our main offering is a simple knitting project where whānau can create baby blankets together — taonga gifted to newborns in need across the country. We provide everything needed to get started, including materials, support, and resources, making it easy and enjoyable to take part. Each blanket is a treasured gift, woven with aroha, connection, and purpose — and every stitch tells a story. For those who prefer not to knit, we also offer calming activities like mindful colouring. With every act of participation, we create space for dignity, laughter, healing and hope — together.
